The Value of a Clean Beach
We all enjoy the beauty of a dazzling powder white sand beach with shimmering crystal blue waters. There is something mesmerizing, appealing and enchanting about the beach that sets our mind at ease and relaxes us. It is no wonder that some 30 million people worldwide make their living along the coast in industries ranging from Tourism to Fisheries bringing income, food and livelihood to people directly and indirectly.
Though we depend on the ocean, there is very little knowledge about how it works and very little education in developing countries for how to keep the Seas and Beaches Clean and Healthy
The East Africa Seaweed Company is working towards improving the basic knowledge and sensitivity to a clean and healthy ocean that support life for so many organisms and humans alike.
Our Blue Sciences Curriculum is our part of a global healthy oceans initiative, designed specifically for grade school children along Coastal Africa.
Through early childhood education, we can prepare the future today for the challenges of tomorrow.
