Why is Gracilaria Corticata so Special?
G. Corticata attaches itself to Thalassodendron Ciliatum Seagrass in the rocky Intertidal Zone.
The Intertidal zone is a tough place to live, plants and animals must adapt to being fully exposed in low tide and submerged in hightide. These are the nurseries, starting life first adhering to the ancient rocks and absorbing while basking amongst seas snails, urchins, sea snakes and other amazing creatures while patiently waiting for the growing Thalassodendron.
In these incubation pools competition for natural resources are fierce, G. Corticata has adapted well by adhering itself to the competing Thalassodendron during its photosynthesis from the rock and absorbing unique phytonutrients and phycocolloids and developing amazing beneficial micronutrients and high phytochemicals concentrations unique to Gracilaria Corticata:

We take special care in harvesting and preparing this important Seamoss to deliver to you the highest quality and most benific seaweed on the market.
Need to know: Gracilaria Corticata produces a complex extract sugar called AGAR, Unlike Other Species Such as Cottonii and Spinosum which produce Carrageenan. To Produce thickening Agar Agar, this seamoss will need to be heated and may potentially diminish its Nutritional content.
The nutrients are also sensitive to heat, we therefore clean and dry our G. Corticata in a very artisanal process to ensure it retains all of its delicate oils and nutrients for you.
