Beach Assessment

Coastal pollution is a heavy impact factor to quality of life for coastal communities. In February 2022, The East Africa Seaweed Company undertook the massive task of assessing the beaches in Dar Es Salaam for either sustainable wild seaweed harvesting or Seaweed farming.

Of those 3 beaches 2 are North to the Dar Es Salaam Marine Reserve System and the other beach laying south of the Dar Es Salaam Marine Reserve System, however all Marine Parks were direct culprits of heavy pollution.
